Several weeks ago I've bought a Russian newspaper and found out that there will be a great Russian rock concert in Berlin on 12th of June becase of our Independance day.

On Wednesday, 11 of June I've taken a train Hannover-Berlin. 2 hours spent on a soft train seat were boring. Several times I've started to read the book about the city I was going to, but....... I don't like to plan my trips - i prefer spontanious decisions. At about 17 I came to Alexandr platz in Berlin. I planed to stay at my friend's place (Larisa is a russian woman who married a German guy - Harti). I've been at their hous, so I was trying to find their place by my own. Finally, a nice woman shoued me the right way and I saw a known house. Larisa and her small daughters were glad to see me again. They prepared a cake for me, so as far as they put it into the oven I received a call from Xenia. This niche young lady has a beautiful Russian name Ksenia but German burocratists found it not so nice and renamed her in Xenia. Actuall, I have never met her before. My friends from the church gave me her e-mai and I informed her about my coming a day ago. She was going to the concert with me. Sorry, I forgot to introduce you the groups which were announced: Chicherina, Agatha Christi, Voskresenie, Moralnij Kodeks i gruppa Sergeja Starostina. Sochetanie neplohoe, esli uchest chto koncert bil FREE! So, instead of drinking tea with cake in a family atmosphere I was meeting Xenia near the World's Clock (they show the time in the biggest cities of the world) at 22-30. "I'll show you a cultural Berlin" - told this 23 years old girl. Then we were wondering along the night streets and talking. I found out that Xenia came from bijsk (but she was studying in Irkutsk) and has got a scolarship in Humbolt Universitat in political sciences and makes her practice in Reichstag (something like White hous in Russia) for one deputate. A cool position!
Finally we found Kulturbrauerei. It's a center of night life in Berlin. Some time ago here was a beer factory. Now this place with it's many cafes and cinemas is designed in that way. In this "town in a city" you may find everything your soul wishes: you make simply drink beer in the open air cafe, or spend a romantic night in another cafe with alive nice music, or listen to rock bands playing in the pub or just go to the disco. We decided to stay in the open-air cafe and drink Berliner beer. Berlin is a real capital of Germany in all sences. The other cities are really died at night. You can go to the club or pub, but you can't get any pleasure walking along the dark streets with no any people except you. Very soon we've got aquainted with several guys one of them was latino wine-businessman from Argentina. He was more then nice (ah uj eti latinasi.......) and gave us visit-cards that provided 2 free glasses of wine for each of us. I Love Berlin!
So, after talking German, English and Spanish we went home. This night I decided to go to Xenia. She lives in students hostle (it's really better then the flats of many of us in Nsk!).
Next morning I had to go home by feet because I had not small money for the automat in the tram. That's stupid, you can't get a change at the driver! It was too early for the shops and I should be at home by 9-00 to give the keys to Larisa. Walking along the dirty streets I was considering myself in Russia. Hannover is not so ditry.
At about 16-00 Xenia net me and we went to the House of Russian culture and science. We were given free blini with cavia and vodka. Inspite living in Germany, our russian people are Russian........... At first this "snaks" were free but there were too many people, so after a while they made fee - 3 ?. Cool! Some of the women started to shout that it's bespredel. After we've eaten blini and drunk vodka we went to the rock concert. It took place in Tempodrom. It looks like a circus and the sound is really amazing there. We came an hour later, but it has not began yet. At the doors we were met by Russian securities who asked to open my rucksack. "I've 2 glass bottles of beer" - thought I suddenla and shouwed them a plastic bottle of water. "You may go" - heared I. Ufff, cool! We're inside! Lot's of Russians....... even too many for Germany......lot's of turkish guys...........yap, they are everywhere! several Germans...... good. As far as we came in the party began. The first team was Chicherina. It was just drive. For the last time I've not missed her conserts in Nsk, but to hear her in Germany with really good sound was...unbelievable! Agatha Christi was also great. Specially if take into account that for about 5 years I can't listen to them at all. But they were singing all their old hits and seemed to be really crazy! After it we ran outside. We needed fresh air. After comming back we found the group of S. Starostin on the stage. They are cool! They sing russian volk songs withern sound. There was something from the Altai festival of ethical music where I was last summer. It ws about 2 am when we decided to leave. I wanted to wait untill Voskresenje but I wass to tired and I was fed up with all the russian men! This night we came to the hostle again and in the morning went to Reistag. We spent there the whole day. Xenia made me an excursion there and fucked off Stas Namin. This Russian "super produser" wanted Xenia to join him on his yaht :-)))) but... she refused and we continued our walk. At night we went to the Polish party that was organised by Xenia's friends. It was great! We were listening to the volk music and dansing volk dances! Free vine and beer made us happy. I like Berlin! The next morning I've put myself on the train seat and for about 2 hours was sleeping. Berlin is a city of fun. I will come back there one more time. Be sure...
